Název v původním jazyce
Multiproduct Batch Processes as Discrete Event Systems
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Batch mode of production belongs among traditional production methods of chemical, pharmaceutical and food industry products. Its characteristic feature is flexible utilization of diverse sources (raw materials, apparatuses, power, manpower etc.) for production less amounts of greater number of different products. Basic methods for managing multiproduct batch processes are scheduling and term planning. To describe them for planning needs, time parameters of operations or capacity parameters of equipmentunits are sufficient. It is useful to model batch processes as discrete event systems. Every discrete event (operation, apparatus cleaning, apparatus breakdown, etc.) can be described by conditions for arising of the event, its duration and change of process state after its completion. Discrete models of multiproduct batch processes can be used with advantages for design, verification and optimization of production plans and for identification and elimination of bottlenecks.
