In this work the hyperbranched polyimides based on the commercially available 2,4,6-triaminopyrimidine and dianhydride were prepared. They were modified by the reaction with ethylene glycol diglycidyl ether or polydimethylsiloxanes. The reaction conditions of the syntheses of these polymeric materials and the thermal, chemical and transport properties of the self-standing films made of them will be especially discussed.
