STUDY OF THE OSCILLATORY HPTCU REACTION BY THE PHASE RESPONSE METHOD.
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
An example of a chemical oscillatory system is oxidation of thiosulfate by hydrogen peroxide catalyzed by cupric ions (HPTCu reaction). Its dynamic behavior is marked by the occurrence of multiple steady states, excitability and oscillations. We study this reaction by exploring the oscillatory regime with the method of phase response. Results are presented in the form of phase transition curves (PTC). Based on the stoichiometric network analysis, all chemical oscillators can be classified into several categories. The main issue addressed here is whether is it also possible to categorize the HPTCu reaction by using phase transition curves. Phase transition curves are measured experimentally, calculated for a model of HPTCu reaction, and calculated for the prototypes of categories of chemical oscillators. By comparison of experimental PTCs with those for the prototypes, the experimental system is classified and roles of reactants are deduced. Likewise, the model of the HPTCu reaction is
