Laboratory station PCT 40 of Armfield provides a multi-functional system intended for teaching process measurement and control. In the operation of this teaching system students will acquaint themselves with the properties of various measurement controlsystems, the methods for obtaining information on particular control loop variables, the methods for transmitting such information to a computer and the methods of process control as well. The computer-controlled system allows studying the basic principles of measurement and control of various processes and can be easily re-configured to monitor the temperature, pressure, flow-rate or level within a process. The contribution gives the detailed technical description and characteristics of the multi-functional system, the overview of assignable laboratory tasks as well as experience gained in the use of the system in students' laboratory.
