Orodispersible films prepared by syringe extrusion 3D printing as a dosage form for a poorly soluble drug
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Orodispersible films are an emerging dosage form, offering notable advantages regarding their properties and increased patient compliance. The technology of 3D printing is believed to have potential in the field of film production, due to its flexibility and possibility to optimize each single film to the needs of a specific patient. However, the commercially available FDM 3D printing technology proved unable to produce films with sufficient disintegration rate, therefore, the technology of syringe-based 3D printing from gels was employed for this purpose and the method was optimized for the case of a specific market-relevant drug.
