The paper is devoted to possibilities of the communication between PC and periphery. A special interest is paid to the Universal Serial Bus as a new hardware interface. The main part of the papers presents the Real Time Toolbox as a part of the computingand visualisation system Matlab. As the application of RTT is the solution of the puls width modulation system presented.
