In the Shadow of Photography is a visual essay about the specifics of the photographic medium, the photographic world, and how the invention of photography has changed the way people think and behave. The book covers topics such as time travel, why people get stage fright when taking photographs, how the present becomes a stage for the future, and how we lose the possibility of having an authentic experience while trying to preserve it. These reflections take the form of drawings, collages, short texts and several photographs.
