Od prvního vydání knihy Mime, Music and Drama on the Eighteenth-Century Stage sice uplynuly již tři roky, povědomí o ní v choreologických kruzích přesto ještě není příliš rozšířené. Jedná se přitom o vůbec první publikaci, která se zabývá fenoménem ballet d?action, tanečně-divadelním žánrem 18. století, z čistě teoretického hlediska. Po několika životopisech nejvýznamnějších choreografů a historických publikacích popisujících vývoj žánru v jednotlivých zemích, konečně vznikla studie zkoumající, co vlastně byl ballet d?action. From the first edition of the book Mime, Music and Drama on the Eighteenth-Century Stage has already passed three years, awareness of it in choreologických circles, yet not too advanced. This is the first ever publication that deals with the phenomenon of ballet d ' action, dance-theatre genre 18. century, from a purely theoretical point of view. After a few biographies of choreographers and the most important historical publications describing the development of the genre in the individual countries, finally established studies investigating what was ballet d ' action.
