This paper examines the integration of dance research into the structures of Czech art and cultural organisations It describes the positions of employees, the evaluation and decision making processes in dance research as it is institu-tionalised and integrated within the social, economic, and political structures of the state The uncovered invisibility of dance research results can stand as an alert, applicable to other European institutions involved in dance research.
