Performative walking: from outer to inner landscape of artist’s perception (arts-based research on the phenomenon of walking in the perspective of multi-sited ethnography)
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The paper was presented at the international JAMU conference Touching Limits / Crossing Borders of Theater (November 10-12, 2022) related to the theme of inner and outer landscape (Cílek 2002) from the perspective of performative walking accompanied by singing. The contribution reflected various approaches to the topic of walking, especially those that emphasize the connection of walking with a deep inner experience. It also related the theme of walking to the spatial dispositions of the contemporary changing landscape and the dichotomy of places and non-places (Augé 1995), to aspects of environmental ethics according to Hana Librová (2003) and to the activities of the Polish Theatre Węgajty. At the request of the organizers, the author supplemented the theoretical part with a performative walk in Brno for the conference participants, to which she invited the Brno performer of medieval music Tomáš Sokol. The presentation took place on 11/11/2022 and the entire morning block was dedicated to it. The theoretical presentation was attended by an estimated 15-20 participants and other participants online, the performative walk by about 20 participants. Several participants drew their walking experience into mental maps (Lynch 2004), which she used as a material for my research.
