Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The international colloquium focuses on the forms and practices of queer theater in Central Europe, primarily after 1989. The colloquium is based on lectures by foreign colleagues: Eva-Liisa Linder's contribution will focus on three moments in the history of queer theater in Estonia: the period of the independent Estonian state, the period of Soviet occupation, and, last but not least, the forms and practices of queer theater after Estonia regained its independence. Martina Mašlárová's contribution will focus on the period following the last parliamentary elections in Slovakia, which posed and continue to pose a threat not only to Slovak culture as such, but also, naturally, to queer theater in Slovakia. The subsequent expert discussion will address theoretical and methodological issues in queer theater research in Central Europe. The colloquium was organized by the Department of Theory and Criticism and took place at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (DAMU) on 13 November 2025.
