Comparison of computed and measured pressure and acoustic characteristics for normal and extreme phonation
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The purpose of the paper was to compare our current mathematical models to the results of experimental measurements. These measurements were done to obtain real physiological data for extreme ways of human phonation when the acoustic impedance of vocal tract (VT) was increased by prolonging VT with different tubes or straws. These ways of phonations are used for applications in voice training and therapy purposes. One of the main questions was about the lowest formant frequency of an acoustic system consisted of VT prolonged at the lips by a tube. For that reason a new test set was prepared, that enabled to measure transfer function of the system VT+tube without an influence of vibrating vocal folds. The measured formant frequencies F1-F7 excellently agreed with the computed formants. The first formant frequency about 80 Hz was much lower than F1 resulting from the yielding wall models.
