Properties of plasma generated by underwater high-repetitive pulsed electrical discharge in vapor bubbles((ISNTP 9). Dalian
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Předneseno na:ISNTP 9,Dalian This work investigates physical characteristics and chemical activity of underwater high-repetitive pulsed electrical discharge formed in vapor bubbles. Two distinct modes of discharge plasma were formed in water by varying the pulse repetition rate. The first mode was characterized by the formation of the discharge in form of streamer channels. The second mode occurred when the frequency was increased to above a certain threshold value (typically above 500 Hz) and was characterized by the suppression of streamer channels in water. Plasmachemical activity of the discharge generated under both modes was evaluated using phenol as the chemical probe. It was found that plasma of different properties was formed by the dischargein the vapor bubble mode. The discharge occurred in bubbles composed not only from water vapor but also contained impurities of air dissolved in water.
