Fluorine Etching in Cracow, Warszaw and Vilnius, 1901–20

At the beginning of 20 century Polish artist discovered new artistic technics, for example fluorine etching. The technic was developed by famous painter, graphiker, and drama writer Stanisław Wyspiański, who made many compositions, exhibited in Cracow. In this article autor presents history of Polish modern print, and artistic school in Warsaw, where Ferdniannd Ruszczyc, Polish-Lithuanian painter and graphiker, inspired other artists to experiment. As a professor of Academy of Fine Art in Warsaw he offered to publish a portfolio with twelve fluorine etchings by his students. Another artist fascinated by the new technique was Mikolajus Kinstantinas Ciurlionis, Lithuanian compositor, painter and graphiker. He collaborated with Poles and traveled often from Vilnius to Warsaw. In the article there are a lot of new material about Polish-Lithuanian artistic live in modern era.
