Das Hultschiner Ländchen, das heute zur Tschechischen Republik gehört, ist eine Region, deren Name in der Neuzeit und zum ersten Mal im Zusammenhang mit ihrem Anschluss an die Tschechoslowakische Republik im Jahr 1920 verwendet wurde. Der Verlauf ihrer wechselvollen Geschichte wurde bestimmt durch verschiedene Machtinteressen geprägt, wurde im Laufe der Jahrhunderte maßgeblich durch das Zusammenleben der tschechisch-mährischen Bevölkerung mit der deutschen Minderheit geprägt. Der Einfluss der deutschen Sprache, Kultur, Bräuche und Sitten, spiegelt sich im politischen und gesellschaftlichen Zusammenleben sowie unter anderem in den regionalen Volksliedern wider. Die Volkslieder im Hultschiner Ländchen wurden von einer Reihe von Sammlern mündlicher Überlieferungen gesammelt. Die deutschsprachige Volksliedsammlung Dreiunddreißig Lieder aus Hultschin. Mährische Volkslieder wurden vom Schriftsteller August Scholtis zusammengestellt.

The Hlučín Region, which today forms part of the Czech Republic, is a region whose name was used in modern times and for the first time in connection with its annexation to the Czechoslovak Republic in 1920. The course of its eventful history, which was determined by various power interests, was significantly influenced over the centuries by the coexistence of the Czech/Moravian population with the German minority. The influence of the German language, culture, customs and manners is reflected in political and social coexistence as well as, among other things in the regional folk songs. The folk songs in the Hultčín region were collected by a number of collectors of oral tradition. The German-written folk song collection Dreiunddreißig Lieder aus Hultschin. Mährische Volkslieder were compiled by the writer August Scholtis.
