Los modernistas en sus poemas, entre otros aspectos, tratan de crearnuevos conceptos a partir de elementos conceptualmente disímiles, esdecir mundos distintos. En este trabajo se determina el rol de tres delos mundos presentes en la obra de Delmira Agustini, en particular dela Antigüedad, el Oriente y América Latina, y las relaciones y fronterasentre ellos mediante un análisis comparativo de los símbolos e imágenesrelacionados con aquellos mundos en su poemario Los cálices vacíos(1913).

In their poems, the modernists, among other aspects, seek to create new concepts from elements that are conceptually dissimilar—that is, from different worlds. This study determines the role of three of these worlds present in the work of Delmira Agustini, particularly Antiquity, the Orient, and Latin America, and explores the relationships and boundaries between them through a comparative analysis of the symbols and imagery related to those worlds in her poetry collection Los cálices vacíos (1913).
