The paper is devoted to the issue of using professional discussion forums from the area of the management of IT resources, primarily in the area of operating systems management. In this vast issue, we focus on the analysis of the possibilities of using knowledge which is included in such highly professional discussion forums aiming at analysing their structure with a subsequent proposal of their effective use when building an internal knowledge base.
