To reach greater heights with building structures, it is necessary to search for new materials and especially constructional systems. Requirements for the bracing system are increasing with the height. The bracing system should not only transfer all horizontal loads to the ground, but it also eliminates horizontal deflections and dynamic response of the structure originated due to wind and seismic load. The goal of the proposed bracing system is using the circular straining beam constructional system which is loaded mainly by axial compressive forces. This type of bracing system also carries part of the vertical loads. The stiffness and the complex stability of the circular staining beam proceeds using pre-stressed bars (the bicycle analogy). To find the optimal solution of the proposed bracing system, several twodimensional and three-dimensional numerical models have been tested. The best models are presented and compared.
