A reinforced concrete bridge deck service life model is developed in Korozeeneck software. This software allows for deterministic as well as stochastic modeling of chloride induced degradation of reinforced concrete structures subjected to reinforcementcorrosion. It is necessary to implement the Monte Carlo reliability framework to perform stochastic modeling as several uncertainties are associated with the governing parameters in the corrosion process. The Korozeeneck software ensures the modeling ofboth phases of corrosion process (the initiation and the propagation stage). In this paper, the rate of chloride transport in the concrete is defined using the Fick?s second law of diffusion. It helps to estimate the time until initiation of corrosion inthe steel reinforced concrete structures. The time until unacceptable cracking caused by uniform corrosion propagation can be assessed.
