Actual research activities of the ?Structural group? are presented in the paper. Paper is focused on problems in design of special and extremely loaded structures, which are commonly used. Main sections are attended to: 1) weathering steel structures, which corrosion rate is considerably lower than that of the standard carbon steel; 2) experimental verification of the capacity and the dynamic response of the bridge structures. Final results of the research are not presented; research activities on problems are on run.
