Magna Charta Universitatum in Bologna began the process of harmonisation among European universities, called Bologna Process, as early as January 1988. This process has been influencing also the education at the Faculty of Civil Engineering of VŠB ? Technical University of Ostrava (FAST, VŠB ? TU Ostrava). This paper is focused on the pedagogical activities pursued at FAST, VŠB ? TU Ostrava from the very beginning, describing the evolution in the range of the study programmes and fields of study offeredto students.
