The issues of facility management using bim in Czech Republic
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Currently in the field of BIM design, the Czech Republic is in many ways behind compared to other countries. In countries in which this method is long established, it makes a significant contribution to improving the economic and environmental efficiency of buildings in all life cycles of construction. The BIM method can save construction costs and conserve the environment, by appropriate design of technical and technological equipment, as early as the preliminary stage of a project, but also when building is carried out. It is conceivable that the highest economic advantage of the construction, designed by the BIM method, will manifest itself in its longest life phase, at the time of operation and use of the property. From 2022, all over-limit public contracts, in the Czech Republic, will have to be processed using the BIM method. So 2022 can be seen as a landmark year in our country in the construction sector, so this issue is very timely. There are several reasons for the obligation to introduce BIM when designing buildings. The main reason is the possibility of collision detection and prevention of collisions on the construction site, which is a very common problem in our country. Furthermore, more accurate planning, and above all the highest possible efficiency of construction costs and setting up the property so that it is environmentally friendly during operation and use, this phase is the most expensive in terms of construction life. The BIM method should therefore significantly benefit the construction industry in the Czech Republic, yet in some cases the professional public is lax about it, or even rejects it due to ignorance. The change in the view of the lay and professional public on the method of designing and operating the building using the BIM method is the reason for processing this article.
