Terrorist attacks on environment and possibilities of their prevention

Negative environmental impact can be evoked besides on deliberate major accident also by eco-terrorist attack (activities so called "eco-terrorism" or environmental terrorism). The objective of this terrorist attack aimed into the environment is purposely to damage some significant environmental parts and areas. Attacks are projected (postulated) to drinking water sources, important rivers and lakes, agricultural areas and biota (flora and fauna) by using such appropriate ways as are industrial chemicals. At this time, ways of eco-terrorist attack getting change. Consequently it is possible to apply new and more effective means of attack and also to choose from wide spread of vulnerable targets. By that reasons, it is possible to postulate that the environment is attractive target for eco-terrorist attacks.
