Response of Masonry Partition Wall to Dynamic Loading Induced by Explosion
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
This contribution results from the experiments conducted in the experimental gallery in the limestone pit. The gallery consists of three horizontal parts, two of them are parallel. The premises of the experimental galleries are used for testing and research in the area of explosion prevention. The partition masonry walls were built inside the gallery and they were subjected to the blast load induced by air-gas mixture. The paper introduces the principles for determining the dynamic load and for its simplification, the principles for determining the dynamic response of the structure and assessment of dynamic effects. The criteria for estimation of the structure failure are given and compared to the methodology of assessment according to the internal forces and to rotation of the centre-line of deformed structure. Calculation procedures are documented at the particular masonry wall and the explosion effects are assessed. Results obtained from experiments are compared to the values from numerical models. The models are computed using finite element software. Modal analysis of partition walls is also a part of the solution. Two different types of masonry modelling are used: macromodel represents substitute homogenized material, micromodel involves both bricks and mortar joints with their appropriate characteristic and disposition.
