Railway vehicle motion generates noise. The vibration of the wheels at motion makes this happen. The objective of this investigation has been the digital modelling of the noise propagation and establishing the effect for a three-layer plane silencer. Both problem domains have been modelled by MKP, programme, ANSYS 5.6. The research programme, MSM 272300011, has sponsored the investigation.
