The design process can be strongly supported by the CAD/CAM design tools. This article deals with design tools ('LAYOUT', 'SKELETON' and model relations) implemented in the Pro/ENGINEER system. Their usage is demonstrated on a simple manipulator construction, described below. The result of this article is a variable construction, which enables changing it's proportions by changing the input parameters.
