By the experts' predictions, service robots are technical systems that have great future comparable with the current significance of the car industry, rather more important. This has already been approved by studies, analyses and research programs in theworld. Requirements for extent and quality of services and implied increasing of performance in tertiary sphere will be reflected in the searching of automation methods for appropriate activities. If we compare current situation in this area with the progress of development and applications of industrial robots we have to say that this is the area which will be more demanding to number and types of principles and used concepts used as well as to higher requirements for development with more substantialeconomic effects. Therefore it is necessary to prepare the background for development of service robots. This paper should give some ideas for new methods and tools of development.
