The aim of this contribution is a comparison of two approaches for uncertainty analysis of a nuclear system including the power-producing plant and its associated fuel cycle. The first approach is based on the NRI Evaluation Methodology. The second approach is based on simulations. In both approaches, uncertainty of input parameters is represented by discrete random variables. In order to compare results of both approaches mentioned above, a test case is presented and solved by the both approaches. In addition, the presented approach can be also used as a supporting tool for maintenance operations.
