OPTIMIZING WIND POWER PLANTS RUNNING WITH USING PROGRAM EMTP-ATP

Problem of using wind-power plants in the Czech Republic is solved within the research project MSM 6198910007 at the Technical University of Ostrava. Basic running and fault states of wind power plants were described within the first period project?s processing. The physical model of small wind power plant with squirrel cage generator was used for the determination voltage and current conditions at running wind power plant. The program EMTP-ATP was used as a support for measuring, the model of squirrelcage induction generator was created in the preprocessor ATPDraw. The model was verified for case separately working generator and for case cooperation with distribution network. Presently, the possibility of using frequency converter for the small-powergenerator of wind power plant is analyzed. The program EMTP-ATP is used as a support of measuring voltage and current conditions too; the control algorithm of the converter is modeled by the TACS and with using MODELS.
