This monograph deals with interference in the access networks and aims to solve some issues related to existing metallic telephone access lines which are able to provide broadband services. The solution is focused on the local loop, i.e., the line between a local telephone exchange and a subscriber, or more precisely his home. Since the local loop has a decisive influence on the quality of the connection and the twisted pair is used for transmitting signals, the issues of external interference of transmitted signals is most significant. Interference has a negative impact on the transmission quality. The identification of interference sources is due to irregularities very complicated. This work is focused on this area and its goal is to determine exactly the effect of interference of individual, often occurring, interference sources.
