The subject of this work is to create an electronic database and its graphical interface with subsequent evaluation of the effect of outpatient pleoptic-orthoptic exercises. The resulting software stores data in a database, works with already stored data and is able to generate time trends for statistical evaluation. The database was created using the relational database system Firebird, which was subsequently connected to the Microsoft Visual Studio 2015 development environment through the C# programming language. The aim of this work is to facilitate the work of orthoptic nurses during outpatient pleoptic-orthoptic exercises in the Center for Children with Visual Impairment at the University Hospital in Ostrava. There is an analysis of pleptic-orthoptic exercises and binocular vision disorders, the treatment of which is supported by these exercises. Furthermore, the creation of electronic database and its graphical interface is introduced. (C) 2020, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.
