Biomethane is produced by qualitative processing of raw biogas in several steps and by separation from other components. The production and treatment of biomethane can provide new opportunities for society at various levels. The chapter describes biomethane sources and new approaches to biomethane production technology within the circular economy. Transition of a circular economy model requires more emphasis on new methods of design, production, and consumption. Biogas and biomethane were previously available, but it is also cost-competitive if we take into account all the positive externalities achieved in the production of these renewable gases.
