Nowadays, we are experiencing a deeper penetration of radio frequency identification technology (RFID) into our daily lives. Retail chains and production companies driven by the worldwide trend are facing the question how to utilize the potentials of this technology and do not stay behind their rivals. RFID offers a large number of benefits such as identification without line of sight, high read range, ability to retrieve multiple objects at once, and more. It is not a big surprise that it seems to be appropriate to use this technology to track the movement of customers in the shopping area. The basic condition for realization of the solution is the emplacement of the RFID tag to the objects physically connected to shoppers.
