Effect of temperature on the enrichment and volatility of 18 elements during pyrolysis of biomass, coal, and tires
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The effect of temperature on the enrichment and volatility of 25 metals during pyrolysis of bituminous coal, biomass pellets, and waste tires was evaluated. The pyrolysis experiments were conducted in a semi-continuously operated triple-screw reactor atfour temperatures: 500, 550, 600, and 650 °C. An enhancement in the total contents of metals due to pyrolysis was observed in all materials. An increase of pyrolysis temperature resulted in a decrease in the total content of metals in chars from pyrolysis of coal and tires and an increase in the total content of metals in biochars. The change in the volatility of metals was pronounced the most in chars from pyrolysis of coal followed by chars from pyrolysis of tires and biochars. The differences betweenthe materials were attributed mainly to (i) discrepancies in the composition of raw materials, (ii) secondary reactions of chars, and (iii) metals occurrence and affinity.
