PLAIN CONCRETE BASED ON BLAST FURNACE SLAG AND ITS IMPACT ON THE ENVIRONMENT
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The presented work deals with the use of blast furnace slag in the production of plain concrete and with its impact on the elements of the environment. The experimental part of this work presents the results of an experimental research dealing with concretes based on finely ground blast furnace slag, where finely ground granulated blast furnace slag with the weight of 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 80, 95 and 100 % was used as a substitute of Portland cement. The following properties were observed in all prepared experimental mixtures: consistency of concrete mixture, volume weight of fresh concrete mixture, cube and prism strengths, water tightness, frost resistance and static modulus of elasticity. The final part of this paper is focused on the life cycle assessment of concrete by the life cycle assessment (LCA) method. The LCA has been the method of choice for various kinds of new technologies in recent years. The LCA is the generally accepted approach of determining the environmental cons
