Possibilities of Utilization of Waste Material from the Měděnec Sludge Lagoon
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
This article discusses possibilities of utilization of waste material from the Měděnec sludge lagoon. The introduction deals with waste and types of waste that during the treatment get into acquired mineral resources, which are then further processed. Subsequently, characteristics of the examined waste material from the sludge lagoon are presented. In the following text, applied methods are described in detail and explained. We used the following methods: a magnetic separation, followed by a gravity concentration on the vibration rack and a separation in a centrifugal field. With these methods used for this waste material, we have obtained a number of results. The mineralogical analysis showed a significant content of garnetiferous component (andradite - ca. 30%). During the work, however, it was found out that the examined material comprises of approximately 86% heavy components, which also show magnetic properties. This fact largely influenced the results of the individual tests during which the desired utility product was not obtained. Further research process has to be focused on the separation of this concentrate from the obtained intermediate product.
