Dumpmanagement is one part of underground mining of coal deposits. The article presents a general overview of dumpmanagement in the Ostrava Sub-Basin within the Ostrava-Karvinácoal district. It contains an overview of dumps and informs on their current state, morphology and composition. The article also evaluatesnatural conditions and the impacts ofdumps on the environment. Selected dumpsare addressed in terms of their categorization according to the stability of the structure and vulnerability to thermal activity. With selected dumps, solution for using their final state is proposed.The article also includes pictures documenting the current state of the solution.
