The article describes a method of preparing the coal face and mining of hard coal seam 8.6 meters thick. It explains the main reasons that led to mining the concerned seam in two slick about 4 meters thick. At the same time, it contains an overview of the coal face equipment and technology that was used when the coalface was cleared out after its extraction. The conclusion briefly describes removing the power supports from the coalface no 401 307.
