ASSESSMENT OF THE SURFACE SUBSIDENCE AFTER THE END OF MINING IN THE AREA OF BLOCK 9 OF MINE PLANT 1
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The site of Block 9 of Mine Plant 1 belongs to the areas with intensive deep extraction of coal seams of the Ostrava-Karvina Coal District. Mining results in the surface subsidence that reaches up to tens of metres in the areas of multi-seam deposits. The growth of the value of subsidence in the main phase may reach up to 0.5 m per month. The main phase of subsidence is followed by the phase of fading out of the surface subsidence, in which 15% of the total value of the surface subsidence takes place, and subsequently the surface is considered as quiescent. Theoretically it is assumed that the surface subsidence ends after five years of the termination of mining. Practically, however, this period of time significantly differs due to the different natural conditions at particular sites. This paper evaluates the time of fading out of the surface subsidence on the basis of direct measurements of the elevations of surface points, which take place in the given area twice a year. The subsidence evaluated from the direct measurements of the elevations is compared further with a theoretical model of the surface subsidence. The result is a determined time of fading out of the surface subsidence and the determination of the parameters of the theoretical calculation of subsidence for the natural conditions of the evaluated site. These results are subsequently compared with the values of the parameters generally used for prediction purposes in the area of the Ostrava-Karvina Coal District.
