CONTINUOUS MONITORING OF THE GROUNDWATER LEVEL IN THE BASE OF THE WASTEDUMP BODY
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The area of interest (Slatinice wastedump) is located on the southern edge of the Most´s basin central part (North Bohemia, The Czech Republic). The wastedump was deposited into the space of the fomer lignite openpit mine, called Slatinice. The body of the wastedump has an ovoid shape with the longer axis oriented in the NW – SE direction. The major thickness, about 100 m, reaching a dump in its central part. Monitoring wells have been realized in the area of interest between the years 2013 – 2016. The aim of this hydrogeological survey was to verify the hydrogeological groundwater flow regime in the encountered aquifers and in the contact layer between the dump body and its subsoil. Implemented hydrogeological wells helped us to clarify the geological structure of the interesting area. Most of these monitoring wells were equipped with continuous groundwater level and temperature sensors in the year 2016. The submitted paper describes current experiences and knowledge about the groundwater flow regime of the dump body basement. The results from the hydrogeological monitoring systém are used and implemented for designing new pumping wells and monitoring wells, which will be implemented in the interesting area in the near future.
