POSSIBLE RISKS OF GNSS MEASUREMENTS NEAR POWER LINES
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
This article examines the impact of electric and electromagnetic fields on the accuracy of GNSS technology, particularly in environments with overhead high-voltage and power lines. Although this factor is often overlooked, it can significantly affect the quality of received signals and, consequently, the accuracy of measurements. Electromagnetic interference caused by the presence of power lines can lead to signal distortions, reduced positioning reliability, and, in some cases, complete signal loss. The study focuses on quantifying this influence through experimental measurements conducted in real geodetic practice. The primary objective is to determine the extent of the negative impact of electromagnetic fields on GNSS observations and compare it with other factors affecting satellite measurement accuracy, such as atmospheric conditions, satellite geometry, or multipath signal propagation. The results of the experimental measurements indicate that the presence of overhead high-voltage power lines can have a measurable impact on GNSS signal quality and, consequently, on the overall positioning accuracy. This article provides insights for the professional community concerned with satellite measurement accuracy, particularly for surveyors, engineers, and experts in navigation systems.
