Use of mathematical modelling at optimisation of drawing of semi-circular wire with focus on probability of crack formation during drawing
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The paper deals with the issues of mathematical modelling of drawing of semi-circular wire made of low-carbon steel. It concerns namely drawing of hot rolled circular wire C9D with radius of 6.5 mm to a semi-circular shape with the profile height H = 4.025 mm, width D = 5,8 mm and rounding r = 0.2 mm. Drawing process has been divided into two passes. Shape of the wire after preliminary drawing is characterised by the rounding R and r. Altogether 15 variants of drawing were investigated, while individualvariants differed by the rounding radius R of the preliminarily drawn wire, and by the value of r both of preliminary and final drawing die. Results of mathematical modelling were used for evaluation of influence of the shape of preliminary and final drawing die on final shape of the wire. Moreover distribution of normalised Cockroft-Latham fracture criterion was also observed. Influence of the radius R and r on final dimensions and properties of the drawn wire was confirmed. Thanks to
