The paper presents the shortcomings of static system of regular evaluation of suppliers based on the assumption that the evaluation criteria, their weights and the classification scale for the classification of suppliers into performance groups are fixed. The static system distorts the final evaluation in cases where the potential suppliers cannot be evaluated according to all the criteria during the monitored period. The reason for that is the absence of relevant values of certain criteria. The objective of this article is to eliminate this problem through a dynamic system of suppliers´ evaluation in which the values of weights and the classification scale automatically adapt to the number of the actually evaluated criteria.
