The monograph covers two kinds of environmental problems in Visegrad Group countries - those that cross national boundaries and ones that are common. The first part presents general information about historical background and selected political, economicand other aspect of the Visegrad Group countries, which is important for understanding the environmetal problems of these countries, their development, current state and potential and possible methods of their solution. On particular cases, the second part illustrates the approaches to cross-border environmental issues and to solving them applied in Visegrad Group countries. Various methodological approaches with the potential to improve decision-making processes are discussed in the third part. The last part discusses common strategies, policies, tools and instruments implemented in environmental management.
