Steels are one of the most frequently used materials. The demands made on them at present are still higher. That's why behaviour of steels under precisely defined conditions of heating and cooling are still the object of extensive research. DifferentialThermal analysis (DTA) is one of the suitable experimental methods for description of thermal behaviour of steels. The paper deals with the study of phase transformations temperatures of real steel grade. Phase transformations temperatures were obtainedusing Differential Thermal Analysis (DTA) and Setaram Setsys 18TM laboratory system. There are presented results from the low temperature region (below 1000 oC) and high temperature region (above 1000 oC). The extrapolation of obtained phase transformation temperatures to zero mass and heating rate was performed. The obtained phase transformations temperatures are discussed. Phase transformations temperatures are calculated using thermodynamic and kinetic software Thermocalc and IDS also
