Most of the enterprises now understand that it is not enough to operate only static presentations, but provide its employees and business partners with dynamic access to the information. This paper deals with the solution, which makes this sharing of information possible. It concerns the past of the enterprise portal and shows possible development in future, describes the most common structure and the most important parts of the enterprise portal. Further it refers to the reasons for the enterprise portal´s increase and still growing popularity.
