The authors introduce some insights into the issue, gained by their research activities. The main stress is put on the term performance from the owner?s point of view i.e. the disposition to satisfy the needs and interests of the owner regardless the type of enterprise. Performance of the enterprises is linked to the growth of power and mobility of their owners (private or public) not only in the area of economic competitiveness. If we use Etzioni?s terms, performance of an enterprise from the owner?s point of view represents a certain model of power and compliance in dynamic concept. We know from the practice the power collisions as an expression of the enterprise performance demonstration not only in the market but also in the technological, juridical, social, medial, political or military areas.
