The purpose of this article is to examine one group of supply chain risks, namely the current risks coming from the suppliers and their relations to the position of companies in the supply chain and the current economic fluctuations, as well as to gain the knowledge on how to mitigate these risks, including the cooperation between the partners. The survey was conducted in two stages by means of a questionnaire searching and follow-up of multiple case studies. The surveys have registered certain signalsshowing increasing dependence on the suppliers, deepening imbalances in the supply chains and decreasing opportunities of reducing the presence of risks. The surveys have also detected tendencies leading to structural measures strengthening resilience ofthe supply chain. The areas for further research of supply chains risks and risks management are formulated on the basis of the acquired findings.
