The compulsory usage of data boxes, introduced throughout the Czech Republic by the Act No. 300/2008 on electronic acts and authorised document conversion, offered organizations a modern and flexible tool for authorised communication with governmental bodies on one side, but on the other side a high quality interconnection with documentation services (document management system) of the organization was required. In the paper, a concept of connecting data boxes with organizational document management system is described, using the author?s University as an example. The basic features of this concept are described from the point of view of its application as a modern tool for the organization?s management. The data security aspects reflected by our solution are taken into account as well. The integration of information systém of data boxes with document management systém in an academic environment using a suitable software solution will provide any such organization by a modern and flexi
