This paper investigates, using individual data from the World Values Survey, the impact of religion on attitudes considered conducive to economic growth and usually with a pronounced advantage for Protestants. To isolate the effect of religion from othereffects, socio-demographic controls and country specific effects are included in all regressions. The paper contributes to the research by: (1) including more Muslim countries, giving different results to previous studies such as (Guiso, Sapienza and Zingales, 2002); (2) evaluating the differences between Protestant and other religions and thus not depending on unspecified group of people without religion; (3) including new attitudes like determination or confidence in major companies that have not been emphasized yet. The results of my analyses fail to prove a strong correlation between Protestants and others in attitudes that promote economic growth. This is in contrast to results of previous studies, which base their analyses only o
